Summer Outdoor Staging Tips

One thing is for certain — it’s been a hot housing market this summer! If you are selling your home this summer, you will want to do everything you can to stand out above the competition. While you might think of home-staging as something that happens indoors, you’ll want to make sure your outside looks just as great as the inside.

Your Cool Pool

Nothing deters a potential buyer like a dirty pool. Before listing your home, you’ll want to make sure your pool is horoughly cleaned so the water looks inviting. This also goes for areas around your pool. Power wash the cement around the pool, be sure toys and floats are picked up and ensure the grassy areas around the pool are green and inviting for bare feet.

Your Front Porch

Your front porch will be one of the first things potential buyers notice. Make sure that it is free of clutter, swept and mopped down. Add some color with a few well-placed pots of flowers. Make sure all of your patio furniture is clean and updated. There is no need to go overboard on your front porch — it’s not the star of the show, but it is the opening act.

Give Your Yard a Mini-Makeover

Brown grass, overgrown shrubs or trees with dead limbs will make your property look like it hasn’t been taken care of. Summer can do a number on yards. Have a lawn care company come in and give your lawn a fighting chance at making a great first impression.
